NEW RAILWAY BRIDGE JUST COMPLETED ACROSS THE OHINEMURI RIVER AT PAEROA, AUCKLAND PROVINCE [1926]

The new double track Paeroa bridge. The reason for a double track bridge was to allow the railway junction of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway and the Thames Branch to be moved to Paeroa Station for greater operational efficiencies. Previously this junction was to the south of Paeroa.
